I have just returned from China. Accessing hutong9.net from China is an absolute pain (for that matter, a lot of popular websites are not accessible such as blogspot youtube etc).

Even if the site is not blocked, the speed is atrocious. The only way you get reliable connection is if you have access to commercial network that have VPN routes directly bypassing the Great Firewall.

Use FreeGate.
I am using FreeGate expert version and it works like a charm.
