will printing money save US economy?

It is ironic too much money flowed in the economy caused the housing bubble, now the government will print more money to save it.
There politicians know nothing about the economics.  Eventually, only average people will pay-----HIGHER and HIGHER TAX, HIGHER and HIGHER INFLATION!  By the time I retire, the minimum age for social security will be at least 70.  I donot know whether I could live that long.
