U.S. stock futures jumped higher Friday after better-than-expected data on the labor market. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 140 points just after the government reported the U.S. economy shed 54,000 nonfarm jobs in August, but scaled back in the report's wake. Dow futures were lately up 102 points to 10,411. S&P 500 futures climbed 10.79 points to 1,100.5. Nasdaq 100 futures were ahead 20.5 at 1,857.75. |
