Thinking about the time of SEC/GS story: an OE friday after 2-month bull's market,
and what the consequence on eah part at the end.
1. GS, pay the fine and do what they are doing. 1 or 2 billion? not a big deal, they did this every 3-5 years. And how much did GS earn? Check JPM's earning (most profit comes from trading), you may have a number. Fraud? Again, that is why lawyers and bankers make more money than we do.
2. SEC, the officials long for such a show in order to keep their positions.
3. OBM may gain some points in the popularity survey.
4. Market, finally, get the over-over-overdued correction/pullback. It is HEALTHY if you think of the market 6 months later. You, traders, will love the show of political restling in Octber/Noverber.
