windows 7

When I double click "local area connection", it shows the speed is 100Mbps.
But the vendor said it's Gigabyte NIC.

How can I double check the NIC is 100Mbps or 1GB from some other 3rd party software?

Thanks a lot!

You need to double check the NIC, the CAT6 cord, the NIC driver, the router, etc.

If one of them is 100Mbps, you won't get 1Gbps.

My other equipments are fine.

My motherboard has 2 Gigabyte ports, one of them died today (when it worked, it showed '1 Gbps'), now the other one only shows 100Mbps. I think the motherboard manufacturer lied.

that's Asus.
