周五报出来的12月non farm payroll不好， S&P开低收高。 根据Schaeffer’s Investment Research in Cincinnati的研究，自2008年开始每当job number报出来的比预估差，S&P平均涨0.3%； 好的话平均跌0.1%。
更多人工作， 更多人spending, 更多profits, 股市不涨反跌? 股市更关心的是Fed下一步会怎么做。 失业率还那么高，美国经济还是很虚弱，还需要呆在加护病房，Fed就不会加息， easy money政策就不会改变，银行仍旧可以享受steep yield curve, 美元刚冒头就要被拍回去了， weak dollar trade is back on! 去年的leadership行业仍旧是今年的leadership行业。 银行， 能源， materials, commodities, precious metals, 科技股， industrials表现都不会差。
下周Stock Market pattern
下周是option expiration week, 一般都是涨的。 不过一月份比较特殊， 根据Stock Traders Almanac ”January Expiration weeks down big 8 of last 11 years”, first trading day Dow up 9 of last 13, “Expiration Day Dow down 9 of last 11 with big losses”. 明天俺是看涨的， 相信mutual fund Monday还会来的， 下周有几个重量级公司报业绩aa, kbh, intc, jpm会决定股市的走向， 另外Stock Traders Almanac的OE周五big loss的统计， 也比较吓人。所以在大市动向不明之前，周一take some profits比较稳。 Your money your call!
上星期发现一只有意思small cap股票叫Veeco Instruments Inc. (VECO)， 俺打算从下周开始跟踪它，感兴趣的朋友也可以看看。
