your case must be a outlier.
a configuration issue. too many addons?
you know company PC has many restrictions. I have installed also, later on, ADMIN detected and asked me to uninstall it.

I got admin privileges in my company PC. Too many Addons? not really. I might try to reinstall.
btw, do u know where I can get adblock for safari?

I have also all privileges on my company PC, but all surfing will go through company proxy server, admin can detect your browser type. Generally it is not allowed to install software other than from the company software pool. You will be warned if detected, you will take your own risk.
