if start to see posts that some people feel bad because they didn't buy much, stayed on the side lines, or sold too early and missed this rally. actually what I want say you're doing very well by not trading, not catching the bottom.
first of all, if you didn't trade, i.e. didn't try to bottom finshing, I would say congratulations, you have come a long way in stock market. you'll be making money soon.
2nd, this rally is too rush, index goes high so quickly in such a short time, this is not the wave you want to ride. everybody knows go with the trend. how do you know this is the trend?
how do you define a trend? in what time frame? I would say a meaningful wave, or trend is at least a few months long. you can take your time and add positions. sometimes index don't go very high, but many leading stocks are very vibrant. they come out the bases one by one. if you miss one, don't worry, there will be next one. that is the buttime you want to all in. the reward/risk ratio is very high. but not now.
this rally doesn't feel right. it's fishy. this is not the one I want to catch. I missed it, but I feel good about myself. I know I'm doing the right thing. |
