Monday
The markets are closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
Tuesday
Due out Tuesday are durable goods orders for April, the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index, the Conference Board's consumer confidence index, and the Dallas Fed's manufacturing survey. AutoZone (AZO), Frontline (FRO), JinkoSolar Holding (JKS), Qihoo 360 Technology (QIHU), and Workday (WDAY) will step up to the earnings plate.
Wednesday
There are no significant economic reports scheduled for Wednesday. Reporting earnings are Chico's FAS (CHS), Cracker Barrel (CBRL), DSW (DSW), Michael Kors (KORS), Seadrill (SDRL), and Toll Brothers (TOL).
Thursday
The preliminary gross domestic product (GDP) reading for the first quarter will be released Thursday, as will weekly jobless claims, the National Association of Realtors' pending home sales index, and the holiday-delayed crude inventories report. Entering the earnings confessional are Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), Costco Wholesale (COST), Express (EXPR), Lions Gate Entertainment (LGF), OmniVision Technologies (OVTI), Pacific Sunwear (PSUN), ReneSola (SOL), Sanderson Farms (SAFM), and Splunk (SPLK).
Friday
The week closes out with personal income and spending data, the Chicago purchasing managers index (PMI), and the Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan final consumer sentiment report for May. Ann Inc (ANN) and Big Lots (BIG) are slated to report earnings on Friday. |
