These facts are ones important for you to know about them:

•Priceline completed its acquisition of Kayak for $1.8 billion.
•Kayak can be of strategic importance for Priceline to close the gap with Expedia EXPE +0.03% in the U.S. market. Priceline’s share in the U.S. travel bookings was just 11% in 2012 vs. 43% for Expedia.
•Despite slowing growth, the U.S. online travel market remains the biggest market in terms of sales and will continue to be so for years to come.

Growing at a CAGR of 47%, Kayak’s top line witnessed robust growth between 2007-2012. The company currently receives about 80% of its revenue from the U.S. and has over 50% share of the U.S. meta-search market. We believe that by attracting more traffic to Priceline’s website, Kayak’s acquisition can increase the company’s booking transactions in the region.

Cheaper fuel helps 2Q results at Delta, US Airways
Figures released Wednesday by the Department of Transportation showed fares were virtually unchanged in the first three months of this year from a year earlier.

Both airlines beat Wall Street expectations and offered upbeat forecasts about travel demand for the rest of the summer and into September.

Despite all the grumbling about the price of travel, especially those unpopular fees for everything from checking a bag to getting a seat with decent legroom, airline revenue isn't growing much. It was flat at Delta and up just 3 percent at US Airways.
Delta executives said that business travelers — especially those in the banking and finance sector — were coming back. That's significant because corporate travelers usually pay much higher fares than leisure passengers who book far in advance.
US Airways President Scott Kirby said business travel was weaker in March, April and May, contributing to the second-quarter decline in revenue per mile, but it recovered in June

Don't know. I did not play today! My original plan was to buy both call and put in PCLN today. Tomorrow may buy a few calls.
Last night I saw big open interest in puts...I thought something was going on and someone must know it already.
