Alcoa Badly Misses Earnings Estimates
Alcoa reported third-quarter earnings of 15 cents a share, well shy of market forecasts of 22 cents.

Revenue was higher than expected, at $6.42 billion, compared with estimates of $6.24 billion.

Market reaction may be not relevant to AA ER. AA revenue beats, actually a good sign for economy.

没那么糟，去年三季度eps 9 c, rev 5.3 B, stock price 13.xx,
这次季报 eps 15 c, rev 6.4 B, eps miss 了，但 rev beat 了一点，not to mention stock price already down to around 10, already priced in a close to recession scenario

this is bad.
Estimated 22 cents is already reduced by a lot. They still missed badly.

But more important is to see how market reacts with bad news.
