请问一个Option Trading 的问题, 是不是BROKER 的责任?

月初买了5个AAPL 320/340C Bull Spread, 结果OE周忙, 没法看盘. 没来得急CLOSE, AAPL周五收盘跌了, 但是320C in money.

周一早上看到320C 没exercise, 打电话过去BROKER 说帐户里钱不够, 当时不能exercise, 现在过期了, 更不能exercise. 说明一下, 帐户是ROTH IRA, 所以是CASH帐户, 没MARGIN.

以前也碰到类似情况, 如果in Money会exercise 给我股票, 但都是周一一早就替我卖出了.

比较郁闷, 本来可以BREAK EVEN, 现在变成BIG LOSS.

请问是不是这是BROKER的责任, IN money call 都应该EXERCISE 给我股票啊?

不知道有胡同邻居是否遇到过这种情况? 我是OPTION 新手请教, 如果是我的问题就算啦, 只是他们态度傲慢, 好象错都在我. 谢谢, 也请邻居们以此为鉴, 避免出同样问题, 就算花钱买教训了.

不能啊，应该是自动Excecise，不管你有没有足够的钱。如果没有足够的钱会立刻通知你Close the position。不可能会有In the money call消失的情况的阿。

还有，IRA帐户里允许你做Spread? 好像是新鲜事。

IRA 是可以做SPREAD的,只要BROKER认可

Not really, broker does not have to borrow you money to buy stock. If they do so, they take risk, what if AAPL drops big on Monday, or even file chapter11. If that happened, broker may lose the money that they borrowed you to exercise in the money call.
