what does hollow red bar mean?

at that time, bear was dominate.

But right now, VIX goes solid red. More important, XIV remains green whole day. not good for bear.

mcp now 12.3, can you long if you like the lower price. I lost money when I get the bottom

the point is you have to pick the stock and does hw.

if you believe in the stock value, then you are happy to see them drop. that is what i feel when AA drops, X is not a great company due to its balance sheet, but if you look at historical charts, it has many bottoms at $18, so it is good bet to bottom there.


MCP i shorted a few back in 2011, and covered very soon. I dont like shorting , i lose $$ on shorting all the time, so i try to avoid that.


here is a list i bottomfish : GNW,LNC,NYX,JPM,MS,DB,HIG,MET,X,AA,FCX,CLF,DOW.

I still hold X , my entry point is around $20, average down at $19 and $18. i hold for some months, not very big position.
