laoda, why do you trade FIO in the beginning? b/c the chart pattern?
I traded FIO not just from TA, but more from technology stand point.
It drew my attention from last years IPO due mainly from the following two points:
- they held some important patents in solid state memory technologies, especially for large scale applications that can scale up to the servers, and cloud areas. To me that's the future where the storage is going.
- Steve Wozniak is a founder and behind to pump it. I never really liked this guy, but you have to give him some credit on co-founded the AAPL, some thirty years ago. He went on to TV and said that FIO will be the most important tech investment you can make in the next decade.
The FIO story intrigued me, but I though it could be over priced at the IPO. Do I believe in Steve W.? Not completely. So I waited.
My recent buying decision came after seeing FIO made two successive higher swing highs and had bounced from seemingly higher swing low. So I made the move on 1/13, and you can see what I have been through psychologically on this one - good gains came right away, followed by big plunge. The "double bottom" was all had hoped for and it held.
