It's about the possibility of revoking the changes in cap gain taxes starting 2011.

My Saturday walking buddy has been telling me over the last few weeks, that he is "retiring" from trading by the year end, due to the proposed cap gain tax changes. This guy has a remarkable market sense and timing records: he moved out the stock market and all in the bonds at the beginning of 2007 (yeah, only 6 months too early), moved all in the stock market by the end of 2008 (3 months early). His federal tax obligations for 2008 was over $8M, and over $15M for 2009. But, due to the Obama's tax changes, he was considering to liquidate his positions before the year end! I bet he will change his mind next Saturday, if the Republican is going to have a big win tonight. By the way, his is 82 years old.
