GS obviously made the right bet again. Apparently they exited their long position on Tuesday when market dived. Yesterday, the rumour had it that GS added big short positions when market was rallying up hard.

不是很多，但你看LIBOR美元的涨了点，欧元的跌了点，所以美元应该有吸引力一点，
特别是ECB弄了4000多亿贷款的拍卖,rate 就下来了；而美国FED之前弄的太猛，最近改方法了
所以嘿嘿，一缓一急。钱就溜来流去

There is a marked decline of volume on ES since 10:30. I think we will reprise yesterday's performance - and fade the move down by slowly grinding up till close.

In addition, I am seeing a lower high and higher high on $tick - it's another sign that indices should be grinding up slowly. It looks to me that the worst of the selling is done for the day. We probably will see a volume surge at the end of the day as usual - though I suspect that would be driven not only by index fund/ETF rebalancing - but also by those who want to be out of a position (specifically short covering) over the long weekend.
