It amazes how bearish people have gotten due to this virus thing. When all is said and done, the mortality rate may not be much higher than flu, though likely a lot more infectious. The market needed a perfect excuse to correct the up move from 2009, and it got it out of the way. The advent of social media has made this the perfect storm, fear breeds fear.
As for the virus itself, according to multiple sources now, a vaccine could be ready before end of year. As should have expected, when you have an entire nation shutdown, no effort or money should be spared, to cut all red tape and fast track testing. One year from now, we'll probably wonder why humanity got its pants wet over this virus, why such an overblown reaction. History books will be written, social studies will be done to understand the age of mass hysteria. |
