Too chicken to hold my shorts from here on as short-term signals are still with bulls camp.  Yet, swing signals seem no longer that bearish anymore.  So, I'm all out.

Thanks.  I suspect such special signals (I only possess few of them so far) are part of algo softwares that big institutions use because I've seen they working so many time for years.  

However, my problem with these special signals is that I rarely trade on them without confirmations from swing or short-term signals.   For example, if my short-term signals indicating a top today while these special signals indicating a drop of +30pts, I'll definitely hold onto my put trades for next few days.

Good job & I'm happy to see you making some profits.  First touch on breaking down during last an hour USUALLY means there is at least another lower low ahead.  If I were you, I'd not be more greedy to hold longer if there is a big down gap (let's say SPX with +10pts) or when my swing signals switch to the buy side.  Speaking of which, I'll try my best to post my swing chart before buy signal kicking in so you can use it to confirm with your signals

Maybe I'm just too dumb trying to figure out how to use TRIN for years because I can't make any signal out of it.  The only usefulness that I find is to use it in order to gauge market sentiments during that particular day when short-term or swing signals get triggered.  Take a look at below chart as an example with TRIN in yellow color (top part).  You've seen this chart before which I used to catch a short-term bottom.  

Green squares show that TRIN dropped quickly (i.e. less panic in market) while market was approaching new low before market reversing its direction.  Such sentiment gives me more confident to long the market when my buy signals kicked in.  Red squares are the opposite which you can interpret by yourself.

Thanks a lot. I see that the trin spike is never a bottom in the chart, which means lower low ahead.

What are the red and black lines in the lower panel? Slow Sto or MACD? thanks. Please ignore my question if it's your special indicator.

Well, I don't normally share settings on my chart, but I'll make this one exception since it's new year day.     Yes, it's MACD with modified parameters.  Also, my special signals have nothing to do with technical analysis indicators, which make them special.

SPX did drop ~10pts at market open this morning and I'm not sure the low is in yet which I don't care.  Swing signals have not shown any BUY sign yet, but I already see some positive market sentiment so far from this drop.

One last post before I take my dog out for a walk......

I afraid that this bear special signal might turn this pull-back into a short-term top because I see some short-term signals developing some unpleasant feelings right now. In the past, while short-term signals are still bullish, this special signal kicks in which implies more short-term tops than just a pull back.
