Today's 24 points big gap up nullified the would-be swing top at 7/30.  From a TA point, this is because a potential energy of the swing from 7/24 to 7/30 has yet been exhausted.
So the market still has the potential to go up to 1410 or 1420 level early next week.
But this doesn't change the fact the terminal of the daily up swing is near.
It's kind of like braking a car. When the speed is very high, usually need double or triple
brakes to make it fully stopped.

Few things are sure on the market indeed.  One of the sure things is that fewer people make profit in trading.

For analysis part, it's no need for an update ba?  Market has its own course and will unfold as time goes.
All need to do is just to wait. Waiting is part of the business, isn't it? :)

For trading part, I'd like to mention one thing which I think is important.
One of the major reasons that many do not last very long in trading is their propensity to try to pick
tops/bottoms of fast trending markets. It never pays to buck the trend in the last stage of a bull or
bear market. However, market analysis is another story and is not the same thing with trading.

I've found its much safer and easier to enter a trade with some confirmation. For example, if someone
think 1400 level as a possible swing high, then s/he should wait for the entry until s/he sees the FIRST
lower high below the previous high with a stop in place above the previous high.

This is especially true for novices such as me.   Hope this would help.

Today's daily bar is an OOPS bar with some selling strength that I haven't seen since last week. However, bears still need confirmation to get in. The 1390 level is a decent support level. If the market can effectively break 1390 during the following several days, then bears have
the first confirmation for trend reversal. After below 1390 we should see some re-bounce
to form a lower high which could be used as a good opportunity to get in and catch the new trend.
