hi, I believe you are on the wrong track. Certainly, here are hft. But you and me, as small retail trader, have no access to that level. Do you know why? Because we have poor datafeed, poor hardware, poor everything yet.

我的data mining不是指用很fancy的model去fitdata，而是方便找一些tradable的pattern。从来不迷信data mining

To me, it's more important to worry about other aspect of trading instead. And there are already some very good ones out there that does strategy back testing and automatic trading.

But it is good that you are having fun, add oil!

老大，请教你一个SILLY QUESTION：你的C程序需要在一个特定的平台上运行吗？多谢。

我会用其它一些编程语言，也曾经看过C++的书，感觉C++很方便灵活。只是不明白需要不需要安装一个特定的软件来运行C或C++程序呢？比如说VB6的程序，就需要安装一个软件作为平台才能够运行VB6程序。

你用微软的visual studio2010就好啊。插件多，intellegence也可以帮你快速写code。 c#也容易编写界面，多好。vb6好像很久的编辑器代号？我也不喜欢vb和vba这两种语言：） 我用的c#，不是c，也不是c++，不过managedc++也很好用的。

基本的ui搭建好之后，下一步就是数据（因为回测最先需要数据的啦：））

放狗搜索了以下，围观了老外的几个帖子。感受如下：

为了让回测能更快，一般要把tickdata都load到memory里边，这样自然快了。load和write的对象最好是优化过的数据库，一般的mysql，sql都不太好。有人用binary 格式的文件存储data。我找到一个叫做db4o的开源database，决定用这个了，对visual studio也好。

干起来，这一块应该放在我ui的data那个tag下边，拭目以待，先上最容易的道德forex tick quote
