Wow, but alright!

I was in the publishing business ten+ years ago, I could be too nit-pick for display qualities.

But I have to see, nothing reads better than on iPad. sorry about that, we do have different opinions on it.

The only benefit I can see over Kindle is that, if you have Amazon Prime as well, you could borrow thousands of Kindle book for free.

我平时工作也是看LCD，回家上网也看，看书再看的话，就太长时间了，太长了，会流泪。所以晚上看Kindle对我来说非常合适

refurbished $205. New $259 around Xmas. 不过钱不是重点。e-ink才真的是为读书准备的。屏幕不闪烁不伤眼睛有纸书感觉的好处就不说了，另外Tablet能干的事太多，没办法专心读书。

It doesn't look sharp to me.

You should check the quality of Kindle books on iPad/iPhone/iPod touch, and compare it to Kindle touch.

The resolution of PC Kindle cloud reader is not even close to it.

Sorry, but I'm super picky.

Check refresh rate, you should setup 60Hz and above.

I worked in publishing before a while ago.

The paper book's resolution is about 4000dpi,
DPI = dot per inch.

regular monitor is around 96-120dpi.

iPhone has the best resolution in industry.

iPhone has 326 dpi

yes, I installed Kindle on ipad2, but I couldn't use it to read for too long, because of bright screen.
If I read novel, I always go with Kindle; I use GoodReader on ipad 2 for PDF reading.

Since Chinese is not supported on kindle, I also use ipad2 to read some Chinese epub. but it's painful, to say at least.

不对呀老大。照参数来说，Kindle DX的resolution比ipad2高，所以应该更sharp才对

Kindle DX:1200 x 824 pixel resolution at 150 ppi
Ipad 2: 1024-by-768-pixel at 132 ppi

申明一下，老大我不是跟你争论哪个更好呀。我一直就是一个eink死忠，所以总是喜欢做点推广工作。呵呵

给kindle刷个多看就好了，任何格式通吃，看中文非常爽。用DX看扫描版的书可以去白边，加黑，

还有其它因素。

对比度，显示驱动技术，都有关。

除了读书之外，Kindle keyborad 3G有一个好处是全球free 3G，在中国连墙都不用翻。Anyway，无论是电脑、平板还是电子书，希望大家用来多多学习争取更大的收益。

I use Sony ereader to read books and browse website at home. It support Chinese. I would say it is quite good!
