RIMM very strong recently.

You need to pick your child at daycare by 6:00pm.  You are on the jammed highway, and it's 5:45pm.  You will probably (not for sure) be late and the late fee is $5/five minutes.
The cars in the carpool lane on the most left is flying.

2 choices?
- you can stick with your current lane and get there on time or be late and pay the late fee.
- you can jump into the carpool lane and get daycare on time without pay any late fee.  But you will risk the chance that the cop will pull you over and you will have to pay the carpool lane violation fee ($372 minimum) and you will for sure be late at daycare.

I had a friend when he first came to work in CA from some middle east university he had no idea of carpool lane at all, he drove on 880 carpool lane for more than one year and never got caught.
