当年Cisco 内部有个员工，名字与CEO 一模一样。 很搞笑。

俺还是很佩服John Chambers 的，他是俺见过的最好的CEO。 不过，现在公司太大了，已经过了Marginal benefit diminish point，应该卖出些不太有前景的产品线，同时通过并购，换一些更有发展、利润率更高的资产。

John Chambers sent shivers down the spines of 4,800 high-tech workers in the Triangle.

The CEO of Cisco Systems warned employees in a memo that the technology company needs to make major changes to improve its business and focus its strategy. Chambers didn't specify what he is planning but wrote that "you will see Cisco make a number of targeted moves in the coming weeks."

His efforts could include restructuring operations, pruning jobs or shedding divisions.

Cisco has reported disappointing earnings for four straight quarters and seen its stock slump. The stock, down 34 percent in the past year, closed Tuesday at $17.22, up 16 cents.

The message is bound to rattle nerves at the California company's Research Triangle Park campus, which employs about 4,800 full-time employees and contractors.

"We will not fix what's not broken," Chambers wrote.
