I have to blame Scioscia for this, as I never had any confidence in Oliver. Apparently Lackey was in control and still had some stuff left, unbelievably stupid move from the GM.

Plus the terrible call on John Lackey's last pitch on Jeter.

Today the batting is much better. But Scioscia, the bullpen and our closer will be my huge concerns. I now appreciate Mariano Rivera more than ever...

I am sure ALL NYC medias will be all over on Girardi.
Our bullpen failed in big time.

Game 6, 50-50, slight edge on Yanks. Whichever team scores first shall have huge momentum.

Now people are talking about 2004 again. I think 2009 team is far better than 2004 version. 2004 Boston is a lot better than 2009 Angels.

Let's just wait, damn it.

Saunders against Andy Pettitte, should be interesting, both pitch pretty well.

I would be scared to see Oliver and Fuentes on the mound, especially Oliver. I hope we bring Weaver, Jespen, Santana then Fuentes (Fuentes only if we have 2 point lead) to close out the game. Unfortunately we do not have any solution to Mariano Rivera in this series as he basically owned us.

It would be nice if we could go to game 7 to set up a decisive game between 2 aces, CC Sabathia and John Lackey (on short rest). Again we should let Weaver pitch 2-3 innings, could even bring Saunders to pitch 1 more inning if necessary. I would never want to see Kazmir again, never.

BTW, it is not fair to blame Girardi for keeping Burnett there through 7th inning, as he was pitching pretty well till then. Maybe Girardi should have taken a huge gamble and let CC. Sabathia pitch the 7th and 8th inning then let Rivera to close it out in 9th inning, after the 6-4 lead. I would have to agree that Mike Scioscia deserves tons of blames for his disastrous move by pulling John Lackey.

BTW your bullpen really sucks as well.

Joe Saunders very hittable today, does not look good so far...Our batting gets to step up and score some point to provide some cushion for Saunders...
