Microsoft (MSFT) is set to release new mobile phone software and sources inside
the company have indicated that CEO Steve Ballmer has expressed interest in
acquiring Research in Motion (RIMM) "many times", All Things Digital's BoomTown
blog reported.

The sad thing for MSFT is not many people think they are 'cool' anymore.
Their big chunk of revenue still comes from windows and office.

They haven't done anything well outside these.

two years I would not think this was possible.

but now just look at iphone, this is completely possible.

BUT RIMM is not cheap at all at this level.
