Getting ready to SWING on the upside...

I guess swing signals are likely to get triggered on the buy side this.  If so, I'm going to buy a tiny call (like 3% of my portfolio) to hold over the long weekend.

By the way, I added two market sentiment indicators (one was added since yesterday).  Both sentiment indicators are not showing any panic with today's pulling back.

Both signals are in BUY mode now.  I'll use 5-minute chart to go in & buy a tiny call to hold over long weekend.

I got in and my trade is in the money so far.  I'll hold until swing signal switches to the SELL side next week.

I'm away this evening until Monday evening.  So, there won't be any update during next Monday.

Wishing all HTers here a Happy New Year with the hope that you will have many blessings in the year to come.   As for next year, I shall do my best to come up here posting my signals so that we can make some profits together.  My wish is to see others sharing their works as well so that I can learn from others on here.

Happy New Year to you all.

It would make perfect sense that my swing signal did not work yesterday if this is a short-term top because my swing signals don't work quite well with short-term top/bottom .  So, I'm not sure if my tiny call is trapped right now.  

Unlike previous times, I only bought 3% this time because I had some unpleasant feelings about short-term signals since they are turning south right now.  Speaking of which, I won't short this market until some reliable signals kick in first.

If you've a setup or signals that work 8/10, then not only trading option is a prudent and cautious approach involving less capital, but also to make much more profits compared to 3x.  That's how I paid off my mortgage for a single house extremely fast (with no financial support from my parents and anyone else), and to allow me & my gf living a comfortable life.

That said, 3% or 5% of my capital isn't small because profit of each SWING trade can be range from few thousands to 5-figure income in a matter of a day or two.  If one of my swing trades goes sour, I'll cut loss or let it expire without putting the rest of my capital on risk.  For much more reliable signals like short-term signals, I usually trade up to 40% of my capital and if it's a profitable trade, I'll make 6-figure income of returns in a matter of a day or two.  As my portfolio grows larger after each profitable trade, that means more capital for each 5% trade.
