In a prolonged strong trend (take uptrend as example), all of sudden one day there's a HUGE buy puts to open order. What will happen to the stock price?
According to 阴谋论，since MM exists and they are 万能，so the guy who bought the puts should be, and will be killed. That being said, stock price will keep going up, at least won't drop.

Do I miss anything?

IMHO, there are big sharks and they are sometimes 万能 but not always, that is why sometimes you hear Hedge fund belly up
