I don't think there would be a crash in the housing market in the foreseeable future. The price is pushed up be real demand essentially, and the lender have been very cautious when making home loans. This is different from U.S., in 2004 - 2006, fliptards were buying and even a dog could get a loan.
The biggest problem is that housing price will lock up much of domestic consumptions, which is desperately needed by China to rebalance its economic. Part of the solution is something like home equality, and with the evolution of the mindset when people start to look at the house from an investment perspective. |
