I had bought RIMM at $69 and cut at $67. Just bought back at $64.5.
The last ER is slam-dunk good - but the price action is completely surprising. I thought RIMM should go up and fill the gap to $80, but it kept sliding and now rested at recent low. Obviously some big money have abandoned RIMM - thinking RIMM will start to lose the momentum to the iphone and nexus etc. However, I have a feeling of "good enough" on the berries - sure they may not be as good as iphone or nexus or pre, but they certainly meet most of the needs of users - just like mp3 and the land-based phones - good/reliable enough to survive.
Of course I could be wrong - I've learned lessons from NYX/VLO. So be nimble and ready to cut loss.
The analyst's consensus is that RIM has been outpaced by the SmartPhone market competition, and BlackBerry is not in the main stream of future smartphone technology, which is all iPhone, gPhone like touch screen, internet focus, multi app and multi function.
Who knows the future of smartphone? Only market can tell who is the winner among them.
I also bought 200 shares of RIMM at 64.50 today.
when is RIMM ER ER date? I don't think it will go up/down big before ER, accumulate more if it goes down and sell some if it goes up. I will bet Its ER result.

Not all negative from analysts - Morgan Stanley and Kaufman reiterated buy just recently.
About the technology, my view is that not all are tech-buffs and need that many apps to run. One should be more productive using a laptop on other things. To me, if a phone can do 2 things good - call and email; do two things OK - GPS and music player, then the phone is good enough. And berries meet these requirements.
