I shorted C in IB account.

Only one thing I am worried about: This is the first time I short C.  Will this bad thing happen to me:  That tomorrow i will find out my broker covered my C short without even telling me?   Or one day they call me to force me to cover my C  at whatever time when I do not want to cover?  Anyone with short experience here, please tell me will this kind of things ever happened ?  Or I can chose any time to cover my c ( if there is no margin problem).  comments welcome :)  thanks ahead.
