A Lebanese mother of a soldier who was kidnapped by Islamic State militants and the Nusra Front, is carried by firefighters after she tried to burn herself with fuel, at an open-ended sit-in by families of kidnapped soldiers and policemen, in downtown Beirut. Militants from the Islamic State (ISIS) extremist group seized around 20 soldiers and policemen after overrunning a Lebanese border town in early August.
