Red circles on this chart indicate a short-term top is imminent. Staying sideline seems to be the best option for now.

I didn't say the top is in, but it's "imminent". Whether or not the top is in, nobody can tell yet, but these signals serve a purpose to warn traders of risk-off trades and therefore, appropriate actions must be taken to reduce risk exposures. This is risk management course 101.

Take my charts with a grain of salt as my view of short-term market turns bearish in the last 2-day. Below chart shows VIX having huge spikes after ADX indicator (i.e. black line) hitting below 10.
