Apple (AAPL) this afternoon reported fiscal Q3 revenue and profit per share that missed expectations by a country mile, and a Q4 view also sharply lower.
The company said it would start a dividend payment of $2.65 this quarter, payable on August 16th.
Revenue in the three months ended in June rose to $35 billion, yielding EPS of $9.32.
Analysts on average were modeling $37.25 billion and $10.35 per share.
For the current quarter, the company sees revenue of $34 billion, and EPS of $7.65, both well below the current Street consensus of $38 billion and $10.22.
Apple shares are down $33.62, or 5.6%, at $567.47
