尼尔·弗格森 Niall Campbell Douglas Ferguson (born April 18, 1964) is a British historian. His speciality is financial and economic history, particularly hyperinflation and the bond markets, as well as the history of colonialism.

Ferguson, who was born in Glasgow, is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University[3] as well as William Ziegler Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He was educated at the private Glasgow Academy in Scotland, and at Magdalen College, Oxford.


莫里茨·苏拉里克 Moritz Schularick is professor of economics at the John F. Kennedy Institute of the Free University of Berlin, Germany. He has also been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University and worked in the financial industry for several years.

这两位历史学政治学和经济学教授在2006年底自称创造了英语新词“Chimerica”,提出建立中美国，又译中美联合体、中美经济联合体、中美共同体、中华美利坚等.许多人觉得新鲜.其实, 发明权应该属于德国的威廉皇帝,或者他的智囊团.大老早就提出德国中国和美国结盟.这个英语新词 应该是 “ Chidemerica ”.
