That's is pretty much a blanket statement.  There has been no historical precedent, and I believe no true argument can be made to support that.
As has been mentioned, bears here have been calling for top forever, and none of them have even entertained the idea that they've been wrong.

Sorry, my typo and mistakes here. I meant Friday's NFP. And tomorrow is not Thursday.

So, I guess the US stock market will continue rallying tomorrow (Wednesday), no matter ADP is good or poor, and probably Thursday, too.

Now that US stock market indices have been kidnapped by oil sector, the macro-economic data does not matter for now. As Egyptian tension will not be eased soon, crude oil will keep skyrocketing now. Since crude oil price has stood up above $100/barrel today, it is likely rushing up to $150 in the short term. That may push DJIA and SPX up crazily. That looks like the cow has become a mad bull, but it is reasonable. So NFP may not matter any more.

I give up my bearish view now. Ironically, Egyptian crisis saved bulls and prevents US stock market to pullback due to overbought.
