过分自信的author, and a lot of ideological bias towards China. If GOOG cooperates with CIA and operates like a military manufacturer, is it working like a state-owned company? When the secretary of state can dictate what a company can do, can sell, what cannot sell or what cannot do, and when congress can vote whether an oil company can be acquired, is it still market-oriented?
Another point, after OPEC is formed, did the international oil trade decrease or increase? The author is whining about weaker country's state owned companies, but he did not mention that the Western international conglomerates are sometimes bigger than a whole country (no to mention any company owned by such country). The reality is, if the weaker country does not form state owned company, there is no place for them to stand in this "free market" to compete with the Westen big companies. |
