That could only mean one thing, the market will go down. Because when WS is angry and upset, main street's 401k will suffer.
First of all, if you are a middle class in US, you might not like Obama much. If you are a socialist, you will like him better since mostly, he used a lot of tax money to help the POOR Americans.
I do not think that, Obama is truly trying to help Americans. He is a politician. He senses the public outrage toward the greedy bankers at the moment and he needs to do something to try to help the Dem to win the midterm election, which will sooth his way for his second term reelection. Whenever a politician tells the public that, he loves them and tries to help them, I laughed hard. It's all bullshit.
If Obama has his way, the banks will indeed in trouble since nowadays, the banks are not really banks anymore. Without the highly leverage investment arms and equity trading growth, the banks revenue and earning will indeed suffer big time. This does not bold well for the banking stock performance and, of course, the BONUS will suffer too.
On the other hand, regional banks could be winners coming out of it if they can weather the commercial loan crisis. While big banks were running like investment banking, regional banks do stick to the traditional way and do know how to run banking business, because that's their bread and butter. They might be the bunch that can maintain a steady growth.
Now, Wall Street is very upset and angry. They were so upset that, some of them already public said, they were regretted supporting Obama during the election. With that said, the Main Street's 401k will see more damage before better time comes.
I guess you all know what you should do now, will you?

Chinese Version:
