97年那会看人家手里拿个PDA都很羡慕。有一次边上班边dt PALM，日进2k，差不多兴奋了一个星期。PALM真是历尽沧桑啊，真的熬不出头吗？

Palm Shares Rise, Options Active, As Market Speculates Again

。。。in the options market, trading in Palm jumped to twice the normal level, with investors picking up 39,000 calls that allow them to buy Palm's stock and 11,000 puts that allow them to sell it, according to Trade Alert. Investors showed particular interest in November $12.50 calls, which are priced at 40 cents and make money if Palm shares rise above $12.90.

Analysts said there wasn't any concrete news, but pointed to the launch of the Palm Pixi on Sunday. Similar to the Pre, but smaller and slimmer, the Pixi will be sold for $99 after rebates and with a two-year service contract with Sprint Nextel Corp. (S).

RBC analysts said in a note Friday that they "expect positive consumer reception and healthy sell-through," on the Pixi, saying so far the reviews have been positive and at $99, the device doesn't have much competition in price.

Also likely contributing to the share rise, and particularly the options movement, was a rumor that Palm would be acquired by another telecommunications firm, particularly Nokia Corp. (NOK). The rumor circles periodically and analysts said there was no particular reason to believe anything was about to happen.

Palm的东东不错，软件出来的速度也较快，可惜还是晚了一点，难维持较大的顾客群以及软件开发人员。现在这里竞争太大了，Microsoft的阵容也越来越小，今后连RIMM都活不好。短期玩PALM还行，卖空PALM的人较多， 所以期权较贵。长期来说PALM还是会很艰难的。

除非成为专门的手机硬件商，不要有自己的软件系统，学MOT、HTC, PALM也许能活好。

RIMM才该去买PALM。

简单看了看图，量出在上面，估计产品本身不会有太大的动力，唯有NOK收购可以推动股价。

对! 新产品的那一波在PALM PRE出来后已经走完了。这是手机OS现状，我估计PALM的webOS 的市场占有量应低于2% 。

对! 新产品的那一波在PALM PRE出来后已经走完了。这是手机OS现状，我估计PALM的webOS 的市场占有量应低于2% 。
