Aluminum Maker Reports Lower Revenue on Weaker Prices

Alcoa Inc. swung to a first-quarter loss as the aluminum maker reported charges tied to its capacity reductions.
Alcoa said it still expects global demand for aluminum to rise 7% in 2014, the same pace the industry benefited from last year.
