U.S. stock index futures signaled a higher open on Tuesday, after global markets were boosted by comments from Federal Reserve policymakers who downplayed the potential impact of a scaling back of the asset purchase program.
On Monday, Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher said he advocated a reduction to the central bank's stimulus program, but stressed it should be done gradually.
"I'm not in favor of going from wild turkey to cold turkey overnight," Fisher, a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) next year, said in a speech. |
