10:08 EDT - Jefferies' channel checks and July sales data in Taiwan indicate that iPad output for this quarter and next will be much higher than the investment bank anticipated. To Jefferies , that means the long-rumored iPad Mini is in production and liable to be unveiled Sept. 12 along with iPhone 5. Less likely that day is any news about iTV, says Jefferies , though it thinks whatever Apple (AAPL) has in the works for that space "is in full production." All told, the investment bank is adding $100 to its price target, putting it at $900 . AAPL rises 1.1% to $643.35 , earlier hitting a record high, and putting the past 3 weeks' gain at some 7.5%. |
