1. Read your stock charts. A must-be. If your watch radar has more than 20 tickers, reading and remembering the charts will be a big pain. I don't plot stock charts or curves myself. Stockcharts is my resource.
2. Read LaoDa Cobra's report. It's Hutong's daily activity. In most case, Cobra gives out market direction. If not, I need to design cases "if ...", "if...", "if..."
3. Read today's political and financial news. surf hutong. Ha-ha-ha, lots of fun...
If time available, more home work.
4. navigate yahoo or google finance web. grab and analyze the daily data, including, but not limited to, top tickers in vol, price-vol, % change, gap-up, gap-down. These analysis help me to remove some tickers from my radar, or add some new tickers into my radar. If you can use tools to go through this procedure, your efficiency could be improved much. My present coverage is ETF and normal stock, 50-50, I might move to ETF only because of FA concern of normal stocks.
5. If time still available, read FA data and reports. But in general, I run FA only at weekend. datasheet, earning, estimate, opinion, ...
Last, I am not a market winner. therefore, likely my homework is incorrect at all. |
