TNND, 时代变了, 在美国混个中产, 不容易了. 逼得大家炒股.

Also, middle class of the US has been shrinking because:
1) higher percentage of wealth consistently turns to wall street and
2) revolutionary technology has caused less and less work force necessary.

Absolutely agree! Comparing to my colleagues who don't play stock market, my few years experiences with stock market gave me some edges. those edges may help me to prevent my 401k shrink 50% right before retirement if 2008 were to repeat all over again at that time.

这个观点俺是同意的，只是话有点太绝对了。有些人做生意挺顺手或者做房东做的挺不错，并非一定得在股市上赌。俺喜欢股市还有一个原因就是对个人智能的全面挑战，比赌场更刺激，玩法众多，只要有一条道走通就行。
