Looking at the cumulative NYSE TICKs chart shows that overall, the market remains in a bullish uptrend mode. Clearly, since the beginning of the month, even in the face of a historic-like correction in commodities, investors/traders continue to want to buy this market. TICKs measure the number of stock purchases that happen on the offer side (+ve) versus bid side (-ve) of the market.
Until we see evidence of a change in this characteristic, it remains buy the dips and sell the rips (sell in pieces).
